How PitchMedic works for organisers and professionals
PitchMedic is a marketplace connecting organisers with qualified pitchside professionals for sports fixtures. We bring fixture details, professional checks and booking status into one journey. Start with an enquiry about your event; current beta access is by invitation.
1. Enquire about your fixture and beta access
Tell us the sport, venue postcode, participant ages, date, arrival and finish times, and the role your event needs. Include competition requirements, multiple pitches and any travel or equipment expectations. The first aid cover page includes a checklist you can use to prepare these details.
PitchMedic confirms whether the fixture and role are supported before account setup or booking proceeds. The beta currently covers participants aged 18 and over in South West England. Schools, academies, universities and under-18 fixtures are not currently available, and standalone first-aider bookings are not offered.
2. Understand the professional checks
Checks depend on the profession and the work required. PitchMedic reviews identity, right to work, relevant professional registration or membership, insurance, qualifications and supporting experience. For physiotherapists and paramedics this includes HCPC registration where required; sports therapists and sport rehabilitators have different membership or registration requirements, including SST and BASRaT where relevant.
A certificate upload, completed profile or registration of interest is not a verification decision. The exact issuer, award, level, expiry and requirements for the role need review. A course in our qualifications guide is not automatically accepted for every sport, competition or booking.
Professionals start by registering interest through the professionals page. That form saves an enquiry rather than creating an app account. When invited, complete your profile and provide evidence through the secure onboarding area. Do not email identity documents, DBS certificates or professional evidence to ordinary support.
3. Review the role, price and booking status
Invited organisers describe the fixture in their dashboard and review suitable professional responses through the booking journey. Check the role, timings, responsibilities and total price shown for the booking. Agree travel, equipment and the meeting point before matchday.
There is no single price that applies to every match: the role, duration and arrangements matter. Ask about the specific fixture rather than assuming another event’s price applies. An enquiry or availability response does not reserve or confirm cover; follow the booking status in your dashboard.
4. Prepare for matchday
Share the final schedule and access arrangements with the booked professional. Invited organisers can follow booking and attendance status in their dashboard. If plans change or the status is unclear, contact PitchMedic support about the booking process.
The organiser remains responsible for its event plan and applicable governing-body requirements. Professional attendance does not automatically include an ambulance, patient transport or cover for other pitches or spectator areas. PitchMedic is not an emergency service.
