Pitchside first aid cover for sports matches

Arranging pitchside first aid for a match or training session starts with the support your fixture needs. PitchMedic is a marketplace connecting organisers with qualified pitchside professionals. Tell us about your fixture so we can confirm whether it is supported in the current beta.

First aid cover, therapy or medical cover?

A search for pitchside first aid can mean several things: a professional attending your game, a training course for club volunteers or equipment for a first aid kit. PitchMedic focuses on arranging professional attendance. We do not sell first aid kits or provide first aid training courses.

First aid, physiotherapy and wider medical cover involve different responsibilities. A first aider is not interchangeable with a physiotherapist or paramedic. Describe the expected duties and the requirements of your sport or governing body before choosing a role.

Match-cover enquiry checklist

Use this checklist when you contact PitchMedic about first aid cover for a match, training session or tournament. It helps us establish whether the fixture and role are supported before you spend time on account setup.

  • Sport and competition: football, rugby union, rugby league or another sport, plus the level of play.
  • Venue: full venue name and postcode, meeting point and access arrangements.
  • Date and timings: arrival time, activity start, expected finish and breaks.
  • Participants: ages and approximate numbers; the current beta is for participants aged 18 and over.
  • Schedule: one match or a tournament, number of pitches and any simultaneous games.
  • Required role: the duties, professional role and qualifications your competition or event plan requires.
  • Equipment and travel: what is available on site and what the professional is expected to supply or arrange.

What happens after I enquire about first aid cover?

PitchMedic first confirms whether the fixture, location and professional role are supported. If account access is agreed, you receive an invitation and can describe the fixture in your organiser dashboard. An enquiry, invitation or professional response is not a confirmed booking.

Before relying on cover, review the professional role, total price and any travel or equipment arrangements, then check that the booking is confirmed. Standalone first-aider bookings are not currently offered in the beta. Our booking guide explains how access, professional checks and booking status fit together.

Qualifications and current booking access

PitchMedic reviews identity, right to work, insurance, registration or membership where required, and relevant qualifications and experience. A course name or uploaded certificate alone does not confirm suitability for every fixture.

Standalone first-aider bookings are not currently offered in the beta. Contact support about your fixture and the supported professional role. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking.
